Yefan Zhi is a design researcher with a cross-disciplinary background. He holds a Master of Science in Design (MSD-AAD) from the Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania. Before coming to UPenn, he received a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China and worked at People’s Architecture Office as a design research intern. His research interests include computational geometry and topology, graph theory, funicular structures, robotic additive manufacturing, and parametric design. In January 2023, he designed the new Polyhedral Structures Laboratory website.
